Her hand, warm and still flushed and aching from the blood running back into it, tightens briefly on his, and she's moved in a little closer without realising, meeting his eyes. She holds them for a moment, then abruptly drops both her gaze and her hands, clearing her throat.
"I still think you oughtn't get involved like you did. But I ain't gonna give you grief over it."
