Eddie shrugs, but he's glad to have at least gotten her to laugh, no matter how small a laugh it is. It means that what she's been through hasn't completely torn her apart. Not that he'd expect that of her; she's resilient, if nothing else. She's gotten through God knows what else, he's got faith she'll get through this—coming back to life—just fine.
